A heart attack or some sort of cardiac event can happen to anyone at any time. When it does, saving their life becomes a race against the clock. When bystanders or coworkers are willing and able to provide prompt assistance by calling 911, assessing the victim’s condition, delivering CPR when necessary, and promptly retrieving and using an AED, their actions can be, and often are, life-saving. This program demonstrates how to perform CPR and how to use an AED. It also includes an interview with a heart attack survivor.

- The signs and symptoms of a heart attack;
- What to do if you encounter a person in distress;
- How to evaluate a person’s breathing;
- How to perform CPR;
- How to use an AED.
* This video does not certify the viewer in CPR. This program provides a general understanding of the warning signs of a cardiac event, how to perform CPR and the use of an AED.
