Hazardous materials, often called and abbreviated as “HazMat,” are found in every part of the globe. And to be available everywhere, they regularly need to be handled, moved, or transported. For the safety of everyone, the U.S. Department of Transportation, or “DOT,” has established rules and regulations regarding hazardous materials and how to convey them without an incident. This program covers General Awareness Training, which ensures that employees understand what hazardous materials are, how they are identified, and why proper handling matters.
